Via Google Weblog (Aaron Swartz, October 30, 2003) comes a link to a Fresh Air interview with the founders of Google, Larry Page and Sergey Brin.
- “We spent the early days in a garage.”
- “We’re sort of serving the world its information.”
- Google downloads “1,000s of pages per second” for its index.
- The Internet “is a very efficient method of distribution.”
- Because of copyright-holders complaining on basis of the Digital Millenium Copyright Act “there are maybe a hundred web pages that are blocked.”
- For around 10 days in China, Google was “largely blocked.”
