This article by a Google employee [via Battelle] was removed from his blog after second thoughts. Ironically the Google cache brings it back online. Kevin Fox wrote that he feels as a whole, Yahoo views user experience and monetization as contrary goals to be balanced, and that “flooding a page with sponsored and paid listings, in its current incarnation drasticly decreases user experience”. (Note that Kevin Fox expressed his views as a private person and this was not Google Inc. speaking.)
Kevin Fox regularly drops some inside scoop posts on Google in his blog, like a photo of Bill Clinton visiting, or the Orkut “soft-launch”.
