Google Video User Submissions Launching

John Battelle reports Google will make user-submitted videos public today. Take a look at Google Video to see for yourself.

Of the five WMV videos I uploaded myself, only two could pass the test; one was rejected for technical reasons, and two more because they didn’t comply to Google’s guidelines. Both videos rejected because of the Google Video policy were against the Google trademark, I assume; the one being Advanced Google, and the other the Google Brain. What has been verified is Finger Flip Flop and From Blog to Book.

Update: User-submitted videos (like mine) are showing now. To play the videos, you are supposed to download the Google Video Viewer plug-in for Firefox or IExplorer. I couldn’t get this to work to play any video.
