Informative Official Google Blog?

The official Google Blog can be a great resource. Most of the time. A Search Engine Watch forum member by the name of ProjectPHP posted this today:

“Google put out a fantastically informative Blog on this:

I was gonna post a snippet, but there is just so much information I better post it all.. wait, that might be infringement, I’ll ditch word or two:

You may have seen stories today ... on a new product that we’re testing... Here’s what’s really going on. We are testing a new way for content owners to submit their content to Google, which we hope will complement existing methods such as our web crawl and Google Sitemaps. We think it’s an exciting product, and we’ll let you know when there’s more news.

Wow. So that is what is “really going on”. We should get these people into Iraq, so they can tell us what is “really going on” with the war, or maybe they can tell us what is “really going on” with global warming.

IMHO, if they want to Blog this stuff, and write so little, then at least make it a Haiku:

Google base was seen
It was not a real product
Sitemaps made better”
