Recolored

Recolored is a very nice (and free) tool for you to colorize black-and-white images. You can pick a color from a menu – like “Human - Hair” or “Fabric - Jeans” – or define your own, and then simply draw the approximate shape to be filled with that color onto the black-and-white image.

Once you’re done with all colors (it will only take you a few minutes) you hit “c” to colorize the image. While this may take a few seconds, the results are impressive.
