Gmail vs Pine

Someone claiming to be a Google employee explains why he prefers Pine to Gmail... even though he likes a lot about Gmail, and is expanding Pine to contain some Gmail functionality. (According to someone at Digg, the story was originally published at snarfed.org/space/gmail+vs+pine, which would indeed mean it’s Googler Ryan Barrett talking.) He’s in good company, considering even Marissa Mayer uses Pine...
