I’ve created a public Google Calendar titled “Search Events.” I’ve invited a couple of you to edit along with me so we can add dates such as:
It’s also a bit of an experiment to see how well Google Calendar handles this. While there’s only a limited number of people who can edit events (email me if you are interested), everyone can view the calendar. I don’t know exactly how you can add the calendar, though; searching all public calendars for “Search Events” doesn’t yield any results so far. There also doesn’t seem to be a public URL for it.
If you want to display the calendar in other applications/ sites, you can use its public feed URL.
Update: To add the calendar, click on the [+] next to “Other calendars” to the left side in Google Calendar, click on the “Public Calendar Address” tab, copy & paste the feed URL into the box, and click “Add.” (Let’s hope Google gives us a one-click button for this.) [Thanks Justin!]
Update 2: Adding a URL is even easier – just paste it into the “Search public calendars” box.
