Google Calendar SEO

You can search engine optimize for more than web results – there’s also Google Base, Google Images, Google News, the Google Q&A feature... and as of recently, Google Calendar. Gareth Suddes emailed the following:

I did a little test the other day that you might be interested in....

I added a few extra keywords to my website’s Google Calendar description to see if they’d get picked up by the “Add Other Calendar” search, and yes, lo and behold, if you search for “BBC” or “Disney”, my Another Chance To See (see sig) calendar comes in at number 4 and 5 respectively (as of right now). I’m #1 for “Douglas Adams” and “animals”.

I have to wonder, is this another set of search results I need to think about for driving traffic? OMG. ;-)
