Joga.com Problems

Google teamed up with Nike a while ago to create Joga.com, an Orkut spawn with a focus on football. Now the site has run into some problems. Clicking on the big “events” image on the front-page will bring up the following message (my emphasis):

We’re sorry, but the hooligans appear to be running wild on Joga.com. Please visit again soon; we’ll have order restored as soon as possible.

Joga is a beta site, so it’s likely that the server will behave this way on occasion during the coming months. We apologize for the inconvenience and for our server’s lack of consideration for others.

It’s unclear what happened. Was the site hacked? Defaced? Is it having traffic problems? Was the community spammed?
