Google Maps Now Showing Webcam Snapshots

Google Maps added a new layer showing webcams. Click on “More” at the top and check the Webcams box, and then click on e.g. New York. “This image shows a snapshot of the camera that has been taken in the last 15 minutes,” the box that pops up disclaims (this is not just restricted to the US, either, though snapshot times may vary – another box says 60 minutes, for instance). Images for these are from users of www.webcams.travel.
