this is as close to an online version of Photoshop as anyone has gotten so far
equals the Photoshop of the mid to late 1990s sort of like Photoshop Elements
Here is a good Online Video Editor that also does Photos,

It'll be interesting to see how powerful Adobe's own photoshop online will be. Isn't that slated to be released in a few months? |
If it is, will it be free? I doubt it |
<<perhaps soon online PowerPoint,>>
Wasn't this confirmed by Google? |
Google announced it for this summer, but as well all know announcements aren't always reality... |
You're right Philipp: in French, "Faux-to" sounds exactly like "Photo". BTW, "Faux" ~= "Fake" ;-) |
I'd prefer Picnik with a great firefox extension and a more friendly interface. |
I love the looks of FauxTo but every time I tried to work with it during the last months something crucial like saving e.g. did not work... so I wait until it becomes less beta. Until then there are good free Photoshop alternatives like GIMPShop. |
Sooooo cool! Thanks for sharing. I'm not surprised that the whole thing is written in flash, though. |
Photoshop, like fauxto is a tool box that requires the user to have the inclination to build what they want from scratch. I found an application that does some interesting, perhaps even expressive things on high resolution photos without having expertise: www.graphita.com
