Google desktop now has a linux version.... Is it new?

I'm downloading it right now... |
It seems to work very stable and doesn't slow down my system. It includes only desktop search feature (no gadgets) and is the first program under Linux I've ever seen that adds its own category to the menu. Menu categories normally are: "accessories", "games", "graphics", "internet", "office", "sound & video", ... And now also... "Google Desktop". I'm sure that's against Gnome etiquette. |
It runs well indeed here. Nothing special to see, just the normal Google Desktop web interface and a CTRL+CTRL thing. I don't have time to make screenshots right now.
Ludwik: Wine also has it's own menu category in GNOME here. But it isn't the right way to do things indeed. |
Also, Google is hosting it's own software in repositories now, which makes it much easier to maintain Google desktop software: http://www.google.com/linuxrepositories/ I could find google-desktop-linux and picasa there. Anything else? |

That's right, but that's not the category for wine the program, but for all Windows software. |
