Google has a "Custom Search Engine Featured Examples" page:
http://google.com/coop/cse/examples/Popular

There are some direct links to search results (after the phrase "Try these queries"). Does anyone know if you can do the same thing on your own website (i.e. include direct links to results pages on your CSE) without infringing Google's terms and conditions?

You certainly can't do this with AdSense for Search, because you're not allowed to modify the JavaScript, but I've not seen any similar condition for using a CSE.

We participated in the early testing of the Linked CSE's. For us at Lijit (http://www.lijit.com), it was a *huge* leap forward: we no longer need to keep peoples Google credentials in order to create and update their search engines. Lijit syncs your CSE with *all* your content and network: blog, bookmarks, photos, resume, blogroll friends, etc...

The guys on the CSE team (Guha, Patrick, and co..) are making all the right moves.

Search Hacker can be used to find variety of file formats like wav, mp3, doc, cvs, wma, mpg, xls, zip, mid, mpeg, pdf, rar, avi, mov, txt and torrents. I tried Search Hacker and it works, but some results return errors. Can’t blame Search Hacker for that, just skip and try another result. searchhacker.com

Search Hacker has a sister site called Cam Hacker which can be used for searching unprotected live webcams. Search Hacker deserves to be in your bookmarks, however, if you are a hard working sucker, then you can try searching the hard way. camhacker.com
