Google Code Project Hosting has added support for Google Analytics. It simple requires that you enter your Analytics tracking code and Google ads the Javascript code to all pages.

It's at the end of the project summary page in the admin area. One thing which is a bit odd is that Google says:

"Google Analytics will not detect the tracking code on your project page, however you can verify the presence of your profile number by using the "View source" command in your browser on any of your project pages. About 24 hours after you add your profile number, your profile should begin to indicate that it is receiving data."
