Flemish News Paper 'De Standaard' brings the news today. Gmail fails the case 'gmail.de'. Google may still appeal but seems to rest the case.

Quote in Dutch:

Google verliest Duitse rechtszaak

So are we going to have a product name change anytime soon... Gmail to Google Mail...??? Who cares? Atleast I don't, as long as it is hosted on the Google servers... ;)

Gmail is already Google Mail in Germany and UK, so I don't think we'll see any change.
