Yahoo has incorporated a suggest feature into their main homepage, so now both Ask and Yahoo provide this functionality. I think many will remember when Google Suggest ran into problems with suggesting piracy/warez-related suggestions. I wonder if Yahoo (and Ask) will encounter similar issues, and if not, how long before Google (and Microsoft) add such functionality to their own homepages? Adding it seems inevitable, and Yahoo has made it easy to turn off and back on.

I just realized this doesn't work on search.yahoo.com which sucks because that is a much nicer (and more Google-like :) way to use Yahoo. |
<< Google suggest [...] a labs product that also made its way to the Chinese Google homepage >>
And is also available in the most recent versions of the Google Toolbar for IE and Firefox. |
If you want to "borrow" what Yahoo suggests, you can use the following URLs:
XML: http://sugg.search.yahoo.com/sg/?output=xml&nresults=10&command=google
HTML: http://sugg.search.yahoo.com/sg/?output=html&nresults=10&command=google
JSON: http://sugg.search.yahoo.com/sg/?output=json&nresults=10&command=google
FXJSON: http://sugg.search.yahoo.com/sg/?output=fxjson&nresults=10&command=google
FXJSONP (this is the default used by Yahoo): http://sugg.search.yahoo.com/sg/?output=fxjsonp&nresults=10&command=google

Google as a whole is not good for small business any longer. It's a black box designed to extract as much money as possible from small business while giving back as little value as possible. This piece explains why Adwords is something to be skeptical about: "Why Google Adwords is Not Helpful to Small Business"
