Gobuntu is Ubuntu with as many non-free stuff left out as possible. It has (most likely) nothing to do with Google and is created by Ubuntu developers. Read 'Gobuntu is... go' at: http://www.markshuttleworth.com/archives/130

More seriously, Gobuntu is , as said higher, a version without any extra proprietary drivers for non-FOSS-supported graphic cards.
