Incidentally that's now implemented, since about 5 minutes :)
(It works better in Firefox, because in FF the buffering seems to stop as well when you collapse the video – meaning you can load subsequent videos much faster...)

Personally I think it's better without the icon, but I don't mind either way

One idea for the collapsible video link, maybe you could still include the link to YouTube, for example:
