I don't host any projects on Google Code nor am I a member of any projects. Shouldn't I have a default profile that is blank? Instead Google gives me a 404 error page when I click the 'My Profile' link. Why don't they have a generic page that says that my username is not associated with any projects?

Weird. I'm in the same situation and yet I have a blank one: http://code.google.com/u/tonyruscoe/ |
It's working for me and I do have a few projects:

Damn! It shows my tests in Google Mashup Editor! Please, tell me that you can't see what my test is composed of. http://code.google.com/u/tomhtml/ |

Hmm, I think I can see it:

Tony Ruscoe, That default page was exactly what I was expecting when I clicked on the 'My Profile' link. Getting a 404 error was such a bizarre behavior.

Oh the fuck I can't believe it! Thank you Philipp
Google S-U-C-K-S because nothing warn about my content will be publicly available :-/ |
TOMHTLM: I see you've now put in some "juicy new text" for Google to index next time! |
how do you see that? I can't find the URL!
Fortunately, I didn't put private data in this mashup. Is it written somewhere that all the mashups are public? |
I'm writing to Google security. If they don't reply, I'll blog it. |
I've held of from using Google Mashup Editor for this reason, until Google provides a way of the developer being able to use private information exempt from the source I can't use it.
A "neat" (read: good) system would be that the developer declares variables in the source. Upon compiling, the developer can input a value which will be included in the compiled version but not in the source. |
TOMHTML: Here's the URL... http://mashup-tomhtml-test1.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/index.gml
I got there by clicking the link you supplied above, then clicking the "mashup-tomhtml-test1" link, then the "Source" tab, then "Subversion Repository", then "trunk", then "index.gml". |
Thank you all. Roger: I didn't expected to find something interresting by clicking on the "Subversion Repository" link :-O |
Google Code Top Right links changed for me today. Also my profile link works now.
The links displayed now: Settings What's New? Help My Account Sign Out
So the 'Settings' link replaced the old 'My Profile' link that was in the top right hand corner. But the setting page does have a tab for my profile and it looks similar to Tony's profile because I don't have any projects associated with my account. |
