From the web.archive.org it looks like youporn didn't have their disclaimer about being an adult site in the past. Maybe this has led to the removal from the index.

Isnt it more likely that google didnt want them because they're copying YouTube than they got rid of them because of adult material?
Are there any other adult sites banned?

Flickr in Germany self censored all material that even slightly showed women naked. There was a big outcry because of this in Germany.

Germany has really strict laws when it comes to minors coming being exposed to X-rated materials, including Videogames, Porn-sites, Dating sites with X-rated content etc. – If any of these sites are operating from Germany, they are required by law to have a very, very complicated age verification system built into the site. A lot of time and tedious paperwork is needed...as well as a run to the post office with your actual ID card....telling the postal worker to issue you a code...or whatever it is...I haven't lived in Germany for a while...but several of our competitors have moved their offices out of Germany to be able to provide their service including adult material, without being required to follow those laws. NOW Google on the other hand, is just censoring itself to not become subject of the German law enforcement....you can't even pay Google for sponsored search if you don't have a age verification system as required by the german government NOT even if you state that you are an adult site...so...[put at-character here]Benjamin...We've tried with our site and it doesn't even work if you have the disclaimer.

As a rule, I don t feel certain that a wide opened window to youporn is of essence, mainly because of minors exposure.
nevertheless freedom meets a deadend
the very point is how to protect minors,(I regard it as a priorit) not how to avoid censors. This last matter would be an other topic, and certainly an other fight.

Google intends SafeSearch to protect minors. Censorship for adults is something quite different.
