Nice I like the speakers thing! Subwoofer! WOW! Congratulations! :D
I bought my first notebook two months ago (HP-Compaq, nx6320): Inter Core 2 Duo T5600 1GB RAM (DDR 2, 533 MHz) 100 Gb HDD, SATA 15" LCD screen (I'll need new eyes soon) Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (this is so bad, 99% of the games or 3d apps don't like it – anyway, I don't play so much) Windows XP Pro SP2 (and Ubuntu in a Virtual Machine -yeah, it works-) SoundMAX HD Audio (it's ok, but I miss the line-in jack) WiFi, IRDA (and a normal phone modem, but I think it's crap in middle of the ADSL/cable connections) Fingerprint reader (girls love this gadget, really) 4 USB ports (connect your mouse, the tablet, and your dog too) Gigabit ethernet (yeah, but I don't know any place with a 1 gigabit hub right now) Firewire (in Argentina it doesn't exists) PCMCIA, and the famous 5 in 1 card reader
It has a touchpad, but I hate to move with that. So I carry with me a nice but common microsoft optical mouse and my mousepad. And at home I have my lovely genius tablet to sketch, paint and that stuff.
(yeah, the post turned a bit into a "what computer do you have?" topic, but ... who cares, lets share our specs with the community)
Who else uses notebook here? |
Me! my first computer was a macbook pro which I destroyed for a video 2 months later and got a new notebook. Currently I use my desktop more though here are it's specs:
AMD Athlon 64x2 6000+ 1TB(2x500GB) Hard Drive(s) 4GB RAM 21" Widescreen Vista Ultimate(urgh!) 5.1 Dolby Surround DVD Re-Writer Cordless Keyboard and Mouse (Logitech MX) 13-in-1 Media Card Reader And one hell of a lot of "legitimately aquired software" (ie Pirate Bay Stuff lol!)
All this on special offer from dell for €910 + 21% VAT (I bought without VAT) |
I might get this one instead now-- i'm not sure http://www.shoprcubed.com/proddetail.asp?prod=XW1760 |
