It's that time of the week again... this line in Google's robots.txt seems to be new:
Disallow: /aclk
http://www.google.com/aclk
Any explanations? |
GTalk? For a dyslexic perhaps... And no, "aclk " is not a Google service name James. |
Well, you have deleted James' post, I feel stupid now ^^ |
<<Server: AdClickServer>> Stands for AdClick... |
(Well, James was talking in binary language, but this forum is English only :)) |
:D US english the rules so you better remove this :D! ColoUr! Aluminium! Cheque! |
James The forum rules state "The forum is English-only" so technically we can speak in UK English if we want :D
Something I made a few years ago: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pQIb93GxLFc011IfD7Yd3MA&hl=en So where's the First Floor? |
Oh, I thought it said US-English |
I keep forgetting how to differentiate between UK and US English when I get updating Wikipedia pages. |
"The forum rules state "The forum is English-only" so technically we can speak in Real English if we want :D"
Fixed :D
I keep having people complain about my WP edits being in English as opposed to American. Its habit I guess, I'd like to see an American try and spell their words slightly different when using a specific website and not make mistakes. |
Yes that's what I meant but wasn't brave enough to say it :D

http://www.google.com/aclk returns a blank page. |
Google search on this leads to inurl:"google.com/aclk"
www.google.com/aclk/googlewatchblog |
Weird. Let me try link to somewhere else there, maybe it will soon show up the same way: http://www.google.com/aclk/foobar |
HTTP/1.x 404 Not Found Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Server: AdClickServer
|
sorry forgot to add this inurl:"google.com/aclk",after search button is clicked.it should show "check in the omitted results". click on the link it shows the below link www.google.com/aclk/googlewatchblog and not this link google.com/aclk/foobar |
> and not this link google.com/aclk/foobar
Yes, the foobar link is just my test case. Assumption: since the domain is disallowed via robots.txt, anyone can link to it using any URL and Google will show it in the SERPs after a while... |
ho ok i got it . thanks philip |
