I just created a new gmail account and it says i have 2408 MB but the counter on the front page says it is over 2900 MB.

What gives?

Usually when you sign up you get 2GB then after a few days you get the full amount, something to do with spammers I heard

I confirm what James Xuan says, a new account have 2048Mb for about 1 or 2 days.

How does that prevent spammers? It is only a <900MB difference ...

yeah, I ment 2048

But I got the full amount in like an hour later. Not much of a await for the spammers
