When I search for "cricinfo" in google , google shows me the live score of the current mtach between Australia and India. Is this a new feature? Would I be able to find the score of a football game just by typing a football related site name? :-) http://www.google.co.in/search?hl=en&q=cricinfo&btnG=Google+Search&meta=
Screenshot, the score will change for each request. http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/3496/crickbq8.jpg Thanks |
They've been doing it since the Twenty20 World Cup.
They also supplied some Google Desktop gadgets, but the Google feed for them has stopped (we're in the process of trying to get them working again, for all cricket matches). Hopefully they'll let us use the feed externally – would be very useful for my cricket mashup site (where I'm missing live scores):

One more update. While refreshing, the one box added one more link to the page (cricketbuzz, in addition to cricinfo and willow as in the above screenshot above). Also the one box link changes at each refresh, one out of three source (cricketbuzz, cricinfo, willow) is selected at each refresh. |
That's old too. Google "changes links" to display the latest score :) |
