Does anyone know the amount of people who have Gmail accounts?

Out of curiosity, why do you want to know that?

i wanna know if it is possible for all of the google invites to be used. Assuming that google gives each user 100 invites, how many invites are out there? more than the number of people on the internet?

If there were 45 million Gmail accounts each with 100 invites it would account for the population of Earth. There aren't that many, though. There were some numbers around for this. Try your Google fu (i don't have time, sorry)

This is an odd question. I will guess, more than five?? :-) Maybe Google gives stats somewhere on their site.? It seems if there were millions, they would want to announce it, much like they do their searched pages.
