There's another side to this story and it is payment BY Google. Today, I get a cheques in the mail from G for my Adsense profits.

A direct payment to my creadit card will be welcome and maybe even cheaper for G.

I already get direct transfers for Gmail... at least here in Germany. (I got cheques before too, but this is much easier of course.)

You get direct transfers _for Gmail_? How does that work? The time when one could sell Gmail accounts has long passed, hasn't it ;-) ? Or were you just thinking of Gmail while writing about Adsense?

Make that AdSense, not Gmail. :)

I get direct transfer for Adsense as well, and I'm in the US. I think they've been doing that for a while. It's not even Beta anymore.

Perhaps micropayments?

Don't forget there is a price option on Google Video and it seems to me it would be very easy for them to enable email transfers using your credit card and built right into gmail...
