Hi Guys!

I don't know if this has been talked about much before. But i was playign around with the new google contact manager and i was able to get it to show up by itself, in google apps accounts and for gmail accounts that don't have it yet. I have documented my work here:
http://www.nata2.org/2007/11/05/google-contact-manager-hacking-2/

So the jest is you can just go to the url of the contact manager ;)

http://mail.google.com/mail/contacts/ui/ContactManager

and it will show up!

If you use google apps, its:

http://mail.google.com/a/domainname.com/contacts/ui/ContactManager

Pretty simple.

I wish there was a way to do posts and what not so that the "api" that is exposed in the ajax transactions was accessible. I would love to sync with my phone. Let me know your thoughts.

Neat hack.

The avatar picture...

... just shows up if this person is in your contacts list right...? (at least one or two tests I made showed this behavior...)

Yes. I believe that we had a discussion about that...
