MSN/LIVE had 2nd share? I reckon this is because of the MSN being default homepage and Live being default search in IE7 |
James Xuan: The graph is showing percent growth, I think, not market share. (For one thing, the numbers go over 100%.)
Look at the first picture for the market share: Google 68.0%, Yahoo 18.1%, MSN/Live 9.2%, and Ask 3.9%. |

Hitwise, the leading online competitive intelligence service, today announced that Google accounted for 64.49 percent of all U.S.searches in the four weeks ending October 27, 2007.
Yahoo! Search, MSN Search and Ask.com each received 21.65, 7.42 and 4.76 percent respectively.
The remaining 49 search engines in the Hitwise Search Engine Analysis Tool accounted for 1.68 percent of U.S. searches.
