Have you EVER wondered why some videos that really did not seem to be that great – caught on big time.
Sometimes TOO BIG, so that they aroused your suspicion, but you had NOTHING to go on.
Well know there is Internet Marketing / SEO for YouTube videos. Here are some tricks and here are the reactions from social media. (this made front page on both Digg and Reddit and became the most commented and controversial on in TechCrunch's history)

Here we go again...
it appears that the Techcrunch filter made the post sound shady |
I don't see this post as a guide to promote videos on You Tube at all, let alone a black hat guide to promoting vids. This is just a post stating the obvious. |
“You simply can’t expect to post great videos on YouTube and have them go viral on their own.”
Yeah maybe.
But when I uploaded a video of mine, "Give Peace a Chance – Tacoma Police Riot" the views shot up almost immediately. Then we added follow up videos after the police department said protesters threw things at police to provoke them into tear-gassing everyone. That was false, so we included even our own interview with the spokesperson who didn't know what he was talking about.

So I suppose we created an inter-YouTube controversy, and other people picked up on it themselves. |
It is often times an iffy situation which video takes hold of the publics imagination.
I posted three good videos on YouTube this year.
Two are moderately popular – but look at the one that really took off??? http://www.youtube.com/user/Movie1
It is the simplest one out of the three and only took minutes to make, and is mostly photos. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_IeNw8dbrw |
