Google Lava Lamp (Broken)

I bought a Lava Lamp from Google Store and received it yesterday. Unfortunately it was broken during the shipment :(

I haven't open this container yet but as you can see, it's wet. I can hear the broken glass inside.

By the way, the UPS guy just dropped the package in front of the door and left. Is this normal? (This is the first time I received an item delivered by UPS.)

I've reported the situation to UPS and Google Store. Their replies should be appear on Monday.

(I'm in Canada.)

The wrap doesn't contain the Google logo? Just the lamp itself? :/

No Google logo outside. The cardboard cylinder becomes softer and softer because of the liquid. I really want to see what's inside acturally, but I'll wait for their reply.

UPS said that I'll be contacted by the tracing department. They let me to retain the merchandise, container and all packing materials and "an inspection by a UPS representative may be required"... I suppose this is gonna be tough.

Still no word from Google Store.

UPS sucks.. and they will do everything in their capacity to cite that the merchandise was NOT broken by them..!!

UPS left me a voice message. They said I can call them and make an appointment with an inspector within 5 days.

I can't wait to see a response from Google Store but they are slower than a snail... (Google Store told me the shipping charges and asked for my approval TWENTY-SIX days later after I had placed the order. Regardless of the shipping accident, this was still my worst experience of online shopping.)

BTW, Google Store is running by a company called GatewayCDI in North America, so basically I'm dealing with them but not Google. I won't buy anything from Google Store again until Google chooses another partner.

I've heard of worse issues with the international Google Store, specifically, taking your money then forgetting your order.

Thank you all. That video was hilarious!

Google Store is keeping silence. I wrote them an email to show my disappointment today.

I really don't want and don't have time to deal with an inspecter from UPS.
