I have a gmail account with gmail ID as {firstname}{lastname}gmail.com. Note: there is no "."(dot) or anything between my firstname and last name.. To my wonder when one of my friends mis-spelled my emaild ID as {firstname}.{lastname}gmail.com (he used "." bet the first name and last name) and sent it.. I still received my email..
how come? can someone explain what google is trying to do?
