Over at Uclue, we have a question about Google that has us stumped. Maybe someone reading this forum has some clues. Here's what our customer asked:
"At one of its webcast Mountain View events, Google showed a 1-gigabyte photo (of a temple or villa in Italy). You zoom in all the way and lo and behold, you can make out the veins on the wing of a fly, something like that. 1. What was this photo? Is there a smaller version online that I may see? 2. Was there a specific reason why Google showed this photo? i.e. where did it fit in to the flow of whatever Google was saying?" http://uclue.com/?xq=1165
Anyone have any ideas? |
I suppose they might be talking about the "Gigapxl" photos as part of Google Earth. You can add the Google Earth layer Primary Database -> Featured Content -> Gigapxl Photos to see them. Not that that answers the full question... |
