Using Yahoo to calculate how "gay" names are on the net

I created a site which uses the Yahoo API to determine if one keyword is more "gay" than another on the Internet. Celebrities who have had gay rumors rank higher, as well as recent gay pop culture names such as Harry Potter's Dumbledore.

The site is at: gayduel.com

To calculate the "gayness percentage" I find out how many pages in Yahoo's web index contain a particular keyword, and then count how many of these pages also contain the word "gay", and divide these numbers. This is the very powerful and simple concept of GoogleShare which has been around for a while (see wikipedia).

Some politicians may rank highly "gay", not necessarily because they are actually gay, but because they are mentioned frequently in discussions of gay rights issues.
