As you know Google Gears allows users to create websites on their local server and database in order to increase performance. Well now Google has teamed up with Buxfer to assist in managing finances locally or on Google's servers.

Just in time for tax season, what do you think? Will Google buy Buxfer?

I don't know if Google will buy them. But you should definitely check out Mint.com if you like the concept of Buxfer. It's pretty nice.

I don't think that's true. Google didn't team up with Buxfer, Buxfer happened to use one or more Google services. Also Buxfer stores data on its servers, not Google's.
