Looks like they've designed the Google Apps home page so that it returns 404s too:

Hmm, isn't Google Mail already doing spam filtering and virus checks for free? |
i assume this is better. but why do they have to charge for it instead of just making their existing stuff better and keep it free? |
In the title field 'Securitiy Power' should be 'Security Power' |
<<...just making their existing stuff better and keep it free?>>
Businesses will look at it and say, it costs money – it must be good! Its the age old belief of you get what you pay for. |
I'm starting to worry about Google's future. As one of the early Yahoo users I'm getting a feeling of dejavu all over again.
Free services, paid services, individual services, group services. I have an original Gmail id and affiliations with several organizations using Google Aps and already I can't keep it all straight.
I download the Google Firefox toolbar and try and get it to check one of my Aps for Domain IDs and find IT CAN'T BE DONE!
In the process I accidentally create yet another GMail ID, and get error messages that point to non-existent help files.
Under Aps it constantly tells me I need to merge my Docs files with some other (un-named) account, and when I tell it to go do that it comes back and tells me it can't!
I really get the feeling that there are parts of Google for which the old saying "no ones minding the store" is very applicable.
It will take a year for Microsoft to finalize it's takeover of Yahoo and one of the biggest problems they will have to resolve is confusion over multiple "namespaces". But I have a feeling they WILL resolve it. That's about how long Google has to clean up its act in this area. As much as I'd like to, I can't in good conscience recommend Google Aps for small businesses right now. There are just too many pot-holes to fall into unless the company has a dedicated help-desk to help them out. The muddle gets worse with each added layer of services, and no end in sight. |
When you try and add this to an existing Apps domain, it comes back and says you are an existing customer and this service is only open to new customers??? |
