For long time, MSN has supported email adresses from other domains than msn, hotmail or live.com.
But for some time, I get an error message when signing in, stating that my Windows Live ID doesn't exist anymore, or that my password is wrong (I've verified it, and I confirm my gmail account hasn't been hacked :)
Am I alone in this case? Why does MS do that now (Honestly, I'm suprised they ever authorize that in view of their traditional policies)? Do you think it is a collateral damage of the Giants' war over Yahoo? |
My Gmail.com address is still working in Windows Live, having said that, I recently made the switch to a live.com address – Windows Live Messenger has improved its importing/exporting facilities thus making it a whole lot easier to switch accounts. |
I'm using Live with a custom address (nor hotmail nor gmail), without problems. |
All right. MS finally authorized me to reset my password. And it works well now. And Microsoft, excuse me for the underlying accusation, I was wrong. Sorry... but I'll keep my gmail adress as primary adress and my live.com one for all "spam-registration" ;-p |
ive signed up for a new account changed my password yet iam still havein problems |
