InsideGoogle has a story that Google Health is launching today: http://google.blognewschannel.com/archives/2008/02/21/google-health-releasing-today-in-cleveland/
Also, www.google.com/health now redirects to a Accounts login page with the service name "New Service" before redirect to the Health Co-Op page (I don't remember a login being required to access Co-Op before?) |
Good strategic move by google – Cleveland Clinic is one of the Top Hospitals in the US and in the the World . I Goog's and the medical vertical can prove that the project is secessfull, then the rest will follow
Think of google now holding all my patient information, world wide .. big move .. in a way I like that . No more can a doctor in another country can state, I did not have medical data of h/er prior conditions and medication. |
No more redirection to "New Service". Its showing service as health now.

Rohit, what do you mean? I'm still seeing the standard "New Service" page at that URL. Can you post a screenshot? |
The redicrection just went from Google Coop a few minutes ago to the Account page (listing all the Goog services you are registered with)

the new service "health" still points to Co-op!! |
Let me try to help clear this up:
Until now http://www.google.com/health redirected to Co-op. Today, it redirects to the login page. If you login, you will be redirected to Co-op again (unless you're signed up for Google Health, presumably). If you had "remember me" checked when you signed in, http://www.google.com/health will now redirect straight to Co-op too. |
I must have signed up some way or another then, because it redirects me to the account page when I try to login from google.com/health |
For me, signing in via http://www.google.com/health (which redirects to a longer login URL with return parameters) redirects me to Google Co-op. But signing in directly via either of these URLs redirects me to my "Your Account" page:
https://www.google.com/accounts/Login?service=health https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin?service=health |
Yup, same for me. Sorry for the confusion :-)

Do any of the readers go to Cleveland Clinic?
I wonder how many hospitals they're collaborating with. |
Maybe patients can use contract law to enhance the privacy of their health records. hack-igations.blogspot.com/2008/02/ contracts-for-patient-privacy.html |
