I wonder why this is. Google Apps login pages for the google.com domain don't display the "Remember me on this computer." option.
With: organic-city.com: https://www.google.com/a/organic-city.com/Login?service=mail
Without: google.com https://www.google.com/a/google.com/Login?service=mail
Does it only show internally based on the IP address? Or does it mean it always remembers Googlers regardless? My guess is that it's some kind of hack to improve security. But if they're allowed to do it, why aren't others? Maybe the option to show/hide this for your users is coming as an option to other Google Apps accounts.
There's also no link for "Forgot your username or password?" for standard users either, although oddly enough, this link still shows for administrators:
https://www.google.com/a/google.com/Login?service=CPanel |
I'm guessing Google uses Single-sign on thus most employes won't see that page, unless they are logging on from an external network – in which case, Google wont want employees to create any potential security risks by leaving their personal/public computer unattended and allowing anyone to access the account without entering a password.. |
