Hi Folks

I started a Facebook page last week (http://www.facebook.com/pages/St-David/10377427413) and have been trying to generate some buzz in order to see if Google could create a Google Logo for St David's Day (patron saint of Wales). I have already emailed some folks at Google and Philipp of Blogoscoped (hat tip) to see if they could pass the message on.

So, if anyone knows anyone at Google, or if you work at Google could you please pass on the message: "Wales would like a Google logo on St David's Day"! And why not become a fan!

Alun

They had logos for St. David's Day in '05, '06, and '07 so I think they will have one for this year as well... So what's your point here?

It's not because there will be a logo displayed on March the 1st that there will be necessarily a link on this logo... So I hope you aren't waiting much amount of traffic from Google this day ;)

Small point: I would've thought that a Facebook Group would have been better than a Facebook Page. (You can't easily invite your friends to be a "fan" like you can invite them to be a "member" of a group for starters...)

Thanks Haochi – suppose I should have done a little more digging!

TomHtml and Tony – Traffic is not the reason for this – just a bit of fun. It also allows me to test out Facebook pages

Here's this year's logo, with the traditional symbols of daffodil and leek.

Happy Holiday.
