why does it look like this sometimes:
http://www.google.com/ig?hl=en&source=iglk
and then like this?
http://www.google.com/ig |
I guess sometimes they'll want to force a UI language on you in order to keep the language consistent between the page you were looking at and iGoogle – so they add the "hl" parameter – and sometimes they'll want to track where people are clicking through from – so they add the "source" parameter. |
Brinke, Did you click on the iGoogle link on the main Google search page to get that first URL? |
dont remember. i set home page to google.com/ig...but when i hit the google logo in the toolbar rather than my HOME icon, it uses one like this:
http://www.google.com/ig?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&hl=en |
