I set up Picasa Web Allbums last night. I noticed the view map button, and went to where you drag the icon onto the map.
1) what is the purpose for this?
2) see this map? it has locations of where my photos were taken.
Including......Ethiopia. Now why would that be there?

When you enter the location, Google search for a city which match with what you have typed in.
I think there is a town in Ethiopia named "somewhere" or something like that. |
so one of the folders I entered location info for, somewhere in the mideast?
and where can I see evidence of the geotagging? |
