<< An Email Mailbox is the email equivalent of a Letter box, it is where email messages are delivered. However, they Email mailboxes are not restricted to receiving just letters; they can also accept numbers and any other ascii characters. In mailservers hosted in countries where it's customary for letter boxes to be located at the property boundary the email mailbox must be placed adjacent to the computer's firewall. This reduces the risk of the mail being destroyed by fire, but has the disadvantage of leaving them open to the elements and means that there is no way to prevent others from stealing mail which has been deposited there. >>
