All Google's products in Beta version suck in privacy. Look at Google Reader (is a feed really private ?), Google Pages (nearly all files are visible in sitemap.xml) or Google Mashup Editor (all available, without warning).

Google Reader is not in Beta anymore.

Google Reader sucks at privacy anyway.

Except for the shared-items-issue, what else is wrong with Google Reader?
