Okay this is very strange. Google and all of it's services aren't working on for me on any of my computers. I went to google and it was down. Then i went to my other computer and tried it and it was down. I looked at pidgin and it said i had been disconnected from gtalk. Blogger (which maens it's not just stuff that's *.google.com), images, calendar, and probably anything else google are all down for me. Google owned things like measuremap.com, feedburner, youtube, work.

What is going on? Anyone have any idea what is going on?

AIM also doesn't work in pidgin for some reason. Everythying else works, my torrents are doing fine, i'm connected to irc, i'm on blogoscoped as you can see, and all other websites have no problem

I went to isgoogledown.com, noticed it's the wrong domain, and had to do a Google search to find it: http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com ;)

Something wrong with your machine perhaps?

I'm on the same ISP as DPic, and I'm having major issues... lots of sites are unreachable, including Google.

I believe that we have discussed this symptom several times before.

Try accessing google by an IP such as:

   http://72.14.207.107

If this works you may want to adjust your "hosts" file or change your DNS. They both affect the translation of domains to IPs.

If there are any entries in the "hosts" file for "google", make sure they are correct. If there is no entry, you can add one, but you will lose some flexibility.

If DPic and Caleb Marcus are both using the same ISP, they may also both be using the same DNS. If so, that may be the problem. They may want to try switching to another DNS, such as OpenDNS.

Note that opendns intercepts "www.google.com", but not other google domains. This interception should be transparent, but it is something else you may want to check if you are using their service.

Flushing your browser cache or temporary internet files and then rebooting may also help.

You can also search google via a different front end.
