are u sure that you are not getting rerouted to Google.co.uk. , when trying to access google.com ?

you mean going to google.com/webhp ?? I can get there fine (and have been able to)

Completely untrue. I've been using google.com all the time. Maybe it's just an ISP / cookies issues.
