Hello,
First of all, I'm Luciano, a programmer writing from Sao Paulo – Brazil.
I was wondering why google's calculator doesn't work anymore for... how can I say that? "Special searches" like: -answer to life, the universe and evertyhing -number horns of a unicorn
And things like that...
I also had once a *real problem one day, that I wasn't able to solve but I'm not able do reproduce it anymore. In a company that I worked before, for some reason the calculator didn't work in some computers, it's was really strange!
It was like if the calculator was turned off or something like that hiding it.
As a programmer I could not see any logical reason for that to happen, because every computer had the same setup, javascript and cookies enabled, does anyone knows what could possible happaned?
Well, I dot not know how this forums works, so I will leave it like it is... hope someone answers it hehe, see ya! |

These special "calculations" needs to be exact, no more, no less. |
Is it really working for you?
So I'm having the same problem as I described above at that company...
The calc just does not show any of these results, even clicking at your links =(
Is there a way to attach a image file here?
Well, thanx for your answer! |
Just to report, the normal calculations works normally |
"Is there a way to attach a image file here?"
post image URL and image will be displayed
"As a programmer I could not see any logical reason for that to happen"
That's the rational difference behind flavors of algo's. Whats one's man poison is another's nector!!
On a more serious note, the algo's behind each module/method is certainly propitiatory and only those in the know how- will ever know the exact computation methods and working's!! |
Mmm thanx George, it works!
It seems its not working for my country or something like that, the strangest thing is that I tried the general link (.com) but I think it internally checks it anyway (ip)! |
Mmm I found it.
It's the variable "hl" in the URL – ?hl=pt-BR&
When its set to pt-BR, it doesn't matter 'what' google you are using (.co.uk – .com – .com.br – etc), everything is just about that variable.
Thanx for your help ppl. |
