YouTube appear to be testing / adding a new player. Not sure how new this is, but this is the first time I've seen it:

A new link below the rating box appeared for me today on YouTube video pages: Marked with a (somewhat Web-1.0-looking ;-)) "NEW" icon, YouTube offers a new version of their videoplayer flashapplet, via a link titled "Try the New YouTube Player Beta!".

If You click on it, You get this:

The links to switch between player versions only seem to appear on the international YouTube site. However, once the new player is activated the localized sites also use it (tested with de.youtube.com).

While I like the new interface, I think someone at YouTube got heavily inspired by the JW FLV Media Player: http://www.jeroenwijering.com/?item=JW_FLV_Player ... ;-)

Hey that is strange, YouTube rolled out a completly new Player:

you may aktivate it with and reload the page:
