I am having trouble signing into my gmail account. It acts like it is refreshing forever and then comes up with a 400 bad request error. I am able to get into igoogle and it says that I am logged in but I can't get to my gmail inbox. I have tried reseting my password in igoogle and also deleting my cookies and history. Nothing is working. Does anyone have any suggestions, I am lost without my email!

I am having the same problem as Kate. My gmail never loads and refreshes forever, if i wait long enough 400 bad error comes up. This problem only occurs in the firefox browser, explorer loads gmail with no problem.

You probably have a blocked cookie problem!
Go to Tools / Options / Privacy / Exceptions
Eliminate all sites
This is probably where your problem is. For some reason Foxfire 3 or Adblock is blocking your Gmail standard url.

After a lot of trial and error this is what worked for me. Hope it does for you.

I was having the same problem--go to Google help, under Gmail, error messages:

http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=91343&topic=12911

It will show you how to clear out your browser. It works!

I had a same problem. But I figured out my laptop clock was indicating some other day. I solved by fixing the date.

Hope it helps.

THANK YOU FOR THE CLOCK TIP! I have a bad habit of using that little calendar and sometimes I inadvertently change the date – that is exactly what happened last night as I was planning travel.
