I find it extremely annoying trying to read a news article while ads are moving around on the side of the page. Is there a way of removing these distracting bits?

Too unspecific a question, but....

1. complain about it via paper mail to offending newspapers' board members and editors. Tell them you are going to

2. switch to different news sources, such without aggressively-distracting ads.

3. use one or more browser plug-ins to suppress/ blank the ads.

4. use an ads-stripping mobile gateway proxy server such as http://google.com/gwt/n

5. the analog solution: tape a strip of 10cm or so paper to the right side of your monitor, there at the ready to obscure the ads usually in right-hand column of the window.

6. relax, grit your teeth, and think of England.

I use Adblock Plus
