Whenever the name of a United States Minor Outlying Island is entered into a Google search box, it returns a thumbnail and a Maps link to Kingman Reef, also a USMOI. Actually I think it does this even when entered directly into Google Maps.
Islands where this query error occurs: Baker Island, Howland Island, Jarvis Island, Johnston Atoll, Navassa Island, Palmyra Atoll and Wake Island.

scjm I think you can use the following link to alert Google to the error you've seen: http://maps.google.com/support/bin/request.py?contact_type=data_errors |
Gracias.
Strange that they would choose the smallest island of the bunch. In fact, Kingman Reef, as its name suggests, is not even an island. Also Navassa is in the Caribbean, off the coast of Haiti, 9500 km away from Kingman. |
